announces the international literary competition "Literary Asia - 2024". The competition is dedicated to the upcoming 1155th anniversary of Al-Farabi, (2025) and the Friendship of peoples
The terms of participation are set out in the Regulations.

REGULATIONS
on the open Internet competition of the III-th International Literary Competition/Festival "Literary Asia-2024", dedicated to the great scientist and outstanding thinker of the East Abu Nasr Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Farabi, the common abbreviation of the name is al-Farabi (Arabic: الرارابي, in Latinized form — Alpharabius; date of birth 872 AD., the city of Farab (now Kazakhstan, Turkestan region). The 1150th anniversary was held in Kazakhstan in 2020.
1.General provisions
1.1. This Regulation defines the procedure for organizing and conditions for the III International Literary Competition dedicated to the upcoming 1155th anniversary of al-Farabi (2025) and Friendship of the Peoples of the World (hereinafter - the Competition), defines the circle of its participants, requirements for competitive works (works) and the timing of its holding.
1.2. The organizer of the Competition is the NGO "MSND" (Public Association "International Community of People's Diplomacy").
The organizer provides information support for the Competition, accepts entries and selects participants, approves the composition of the jury, and organizes (in agreement with partners) the awarding of the winners of the competition.
1.3. The coordinator of the competition is Ioana Arseniy. The Coordinator exercises general control over all stages of the Competition.
1.4. The competition is held in two categories: "Poetry" and "Small prose".
2. Objectives of the Competition
2.1. Support for the image policy of the state of the Republic of Kazakhstan, both in domestic and foreign policy, to popularize Kazakh history, culture, in particular, international journalism (international writing), which appeared after Kazakhstan gained independence.
2.2 Positioning of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a territory of high international culture with a creative, innovative approach in the development of the international (world) literary movement and successful communication.
2.3. The competition is held in order to promote, preserve and develop the national, historical and cultural traditions of Kazakhstan within the framework of intercultural communication in the global development of the international community.
2.4. The purpose of the Competition is to identify talented authors from different countries who create artistic poetic, prose and journalistic literature in Kazakh, Russian and other languages.
2.5. The competition is held in order to popularize international literary creativity, develop a sense of patriotism and love for friendship between peoples within the framework of People's Diplomacy conducted by the NGO MSND (Kazakhstan).
2.6. Strengthening of creative and friendly relations of writers of Kazakhstan with creative figures of the post-Soviet space and other foreign countries.
3. Objectives of the Competition
- introducing as many creative people as possible to engage in literary creativity;
- support for fiction, nonfiction and the best literary traditions;
- popularization of Kazakh, Russian and other literary languages;
- strengthening creative contacts between literary organizations of various states and individual authors;
- attracting public attention to modern literature;
- familiarization of writers of foreign countries with the history and culture of the Kazakh people;
- attracting young people to active intellectual activity, fostering aesthetic perception of the surrounding reality;
4. Conditions of participation in the Competition and requirements for the works of the contestants
4.1. The subject matter of the works should be related to the history, culture and positive events from the life of the peoples of Kazakhstan and other countries.
4.2. Works in Kazakh, Russian and other languages are accepted for the Competition (in accordance with the national composition of the Jury).
4.3. The Participant submits to the Competition works in docx format (Microsoft Word), font – Times New Roman, font size – 14, single line spacing – in the specified categories: "Poetry" – no more than three poems with a total volume of up to 80 lines; "Small prose" – no more than two completed works up to 10 000 characters (without spaces).
4.4. Entries are accepted electronically. The jury members evaluate the works according to a 10-point system.
4.5. To participate in the Competition, the authors send their works by June 5, 2024 to the following e-mail: ioanna_1994_94@mail.ru marked: "For the competition."
All works are made in one file, where the author's surname and first name, country, title of the work, phone number, e-mail must be indicated.
4.6. The author, who submitted his works to the Competition under a pseudonym, additionally indicates his real full name for the Organizing Committee.
4.7. Entries are registered by the organizers of the Competition and submitted to the jury under registration numbers without specifying the author.
4.8. Works containing plagiarism, explicit profanity, as well as inciting ethnic hatred and contrary to the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan are not allowed to participate in the competition.
4.9. The person who submitted the works to the competition is responsible for the authenticity of the authorship of the works. The entries are not returned and are not reviewed.
4.10. Participation in the contest is free of charge.
5. The terms of the Competition
5.1. The qualifying period: the collection of competitive works is from May 15 to June 15, 2024.
5.2. Evaluation period: study and evaluation of competitive works – from June 16 to July 1, 2024.
5.3. The prizes are the Grand Prix, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. The decision of the jury is final and cannot be appealed.
5.4. The final literary festival with the solemn awarding of the winners of the Competition is on the City Day – July 6, 2024.
6. Summing up the results of the Competition and awarding
6.1. The results of the Competition are summed up by a specially created international multinational jury based on the consideration and evaluation of the submitted entries in each nomination.
6.2. The winners will be the authors whose works will be included in the list of the best, determined by a competent jury. The winners will receive Diplomas of I-II-III degrees. The "Grand Prix of the competition" will also be determined with the presentation of the medal of the NGO MSND. Active participants of the Competition are awarded with "Algys hat – Letter of Thanks".
